Delivery pause and contine with content replacement capability
There should be an option to pause a mailing, save new HTML into the message, and then resume the send where it left off seamlessly.
In spite of our efforts to test messages thoroughly, we have found problems shortly after sending out an email a couple times. Our messages are generally sent over a number of hours, so the option to stop the mailing, save the fixed content and send that version to the remaining recipients is there. Without a built in feature to do that, however, we are put into a difficult position. As we generally send out at least 3, often 6, and as many as 12 versions of a given message, creating new messages and segments based on the original lists, but suppressing those who have already been mailed, introduced a lot of room for error.
It would be much safer and quicker to be able to pause a delivery, overwrite the content used in it, and then resume it without the need for a separate message or segment/mailing list to be created. That would be a very valuable feature enhancement for us and I imagine many of your other clients would feel the same way.
While I understand the desire for this feature, it is not something we are planning to implement at this time. Once a delivery has been stopped, it is removed from the queue and cannot be restarted. Sorry to disappoint!
It should be possible to edit an Outgoing scheduled email. The process of canceling the message and rescheduling it - just for any minor change is very time consuming.
Pause a Send/Delivery. Introduce the ability to pause a delivery and then resume delivery.
We recently had an issue on our site that prevented customers from placing orders (yikes!). I learned about it when several deliveries were just kicking off. It would have been great to click a button to pause the deliveries. Then once the technical issue was resolved, click a button to continue where the deliveries stopped. To be clear, I did not need to change anything with the message or the delivery. I just needed to put it on hold for about 20 hours.
I ended up canceling the deliveries, setting up segments to identify which contacts had not been sent the message and then rescheduling a new delivery once the problem had been resolved. It took me about an hour to deal with this issue, which would have been 5 minutes with a pause/resume delivery button.

This is a super useful feature and it would be wonderful if you could put this in place! I used StrongMail before, and they had this feature. There are many instances when this would be helpful: if our site is temporarily down and we need to pause the send (to be resumed later); if the subject line needs to be immediately modified; if the content needs to be immediately modified; etc.

Instead of just stopping the messages and having to redo them, pause and edit would be nice!

Merging in another idea which read:
"Edit/update subject lines within A/B scheduling or Automated Message Rule pages
I know a subject line is attached to a particular message, but I'd like if we could edit [and therefore update] these when creating an A/B test or building an automated message rule. Several times, I've found myself spending a few minutes setting up an A/B send or AMR only to find that I need to cancel out and change the subject line of the message first."
If we do a pause feature we will want to be able to edit elements of the message when paused.
