  1. Delivery pause and contine with content replacement capability

    There should be an option to pause a mailing, save new HTML into the message, and then resume the send where it left off seamlessly.

    In spite of our efforts to test messages thoroughly, we have found problems shortly after sending out an email a couple times. Our messages are generally sent over a number of hours, so the option to stop the mailing, save the fixed content and send that version to the remaining recipients is there.     While I understand the desire for this feature, it is not something we are planning to implement at this time. Once a delivery has been stopped, it is removed from the queue and cannot be restarted. Sorry to disappoint!

  2. Let unique ID be assigned to data other than email address

    Let unique ID be assigned to data other than email address. We have members and would like to use their membership ID number. Unique emails work until someone changes their email outside of Bronto and then you have one person that Bronto thinks are two different contacts. Contact list gets junky.

    While I understand this is a frequent request, it is not something Bronto is looking to implement now or in the future. While this may change as part of our recent acquisition by NetSuite that would be far in the future, and is still an unknown. At this time a single email address (or SMS number) will continue to remain the primary key for all unique contacts in your account.

  3. Cart abandonment to work cross device - SFCC/DW

    Currently if cart recovery emails are opened on a different device to the one that the items were add to cart on nothing shows in the bag.

    With more and more customers shopping cross device it would be ideal if the email held the product information so products would be access from any device.

    This is a specific request for clients using the Demandware/ Sales Force Commerce Cloud cartridge.

  4. HTML code in new email editor

    I think there should be a way to see HTML in the new version of the email messenger editor tool (drag and drop).

  5. Support A/B Test Remails

    Allow A/B test to be sent more than once via the remail function.
    Currently, using the remail option on A/B test messages only sends only One of the messages (A, B or X) in the remail, rather than actually remailing the multi-message test. The process of 'manually' creating segments for the recipients of the original splits, copying the original messages, and scheduling all of those messages individually in order to do a multi-send A/B/X test is a very time consuming and error prone task.

  6. add a way to segment customers from products they purchased from me

    How about adding a way to segment customers from products purchased? We use Stone Edge and I'm wondering if the integration could include product info per customer, even just the SKU and have it associated with that customer. I currently can import a field that I've assigned but it's a bit of work setting it up. If I could select customers in Bronto based on what they previously purchased and/or not purchased and suggest accessories with an email.

    This functionality is now native to the Bronto platform. Please check out our Data Loader App or the addOrUpdateOrders API call. Both of these can load in all order data – including SKU, description, price, quantity, etc – and can be used to back-populate historical data as well. This information is then fully available to segment on in the Commerce category within the segment builder.

  7. Auto Email Newsletter Generation from RSS Feeds

    Allow the auto creation & blast of email newsletters from RSS feeds like FeedBlitz.com. We're doing a trial with them & may switch. As more of our audience reads their email on smartphones there's no point in creating "magazine ad" blasts. Email newsletters automatically created from blog posts is what we need moving forward.

  8. set frequency caps for individual contacts

    you can set frequency caps across your account for all users, but it would be nice to set frequency caps for individual users so each person can set their own preferences

  9. In the email replies section, it would be wonderful if there was the option to forward those emails or reply back to them withen that window

    We have discovered that if we check the box to "Enable Reply Tracking" and therefore allow Bronto to handle our replies, we get a lot of replies above and beyond just auto-responses. There is no way to really deal with these customers other than to find their email address in that reply and send them a message from our personal email address. It would be wonderful if there was a Forward button where we could at least send these emails to a customer service member, or possibly reply directly to the customer from that window.     If you are using the Reply Tracking feature, you’ll want to configure a forwarding address at Home > Settings > Email Replies. Anything that isn’t deleted (per the settings on that page) will be forwarded to that address, where you can handle any questions. The responses you’re seeing at Messages > Emil Replies are for review only and cannot be replied to within the platform.

  10. Modify "Send Email Immediately" Feature

    The "Send Immediately" feature does not stand out enough from the "Schedule a Send" feature. We have had several accidental immediate deployments and this is a big issue as there is not much time to QC for the error and stop the deployment.

    Can you offer the option to remove the feature completely from the interface?

    OR

    Can you add a BIG RED pop-up that asks the user if they are SURE they want to deploy immediately?

  11. allow a REFRESH-ALL messages when you make edits to a template.

    Once you edit a template, there should be a single-click option to refresh all messages that are currently using that template. Some templates can be used by hundreds of messages, and they should not have to all be opened individually in order to click on 'Refresh'! Thanks!

    We have no plans to implement this at this time due to the dangers involved when refreshing template code. It can result in full loss of message content, and individually refreshing messages requires that you approve the new content. The template system is changing with the new Message Editor (currently in Beta), so give that a try and keep the suggestions coming!

  12. Save a list of test messages

    Would be great to have a box in the test send center with saved email address that I normally send to, I always have to re-type them or go find them every time I test a message.

    While we have no plans to implement a feature like this at this time, there is an easy solution. Create a list, add your email address to the list, and send to that list as your “test” list. You can have a few test lists, with as many test addresses as you need, eliminating the need to retype them over and over. Hope this helps!!

  14. Sending: add seed list that goes out with first batch

    We have a 'seed list' for almost every bulk email we do. This is a list of employees/partners of our company that need to get a copy of the email whenever it goes out. Currently, we need to create a separate send to this list to ensure that it goes out when the delivery begins, rather than randomly during the x-hour throttle period. It would be nice to be able to 'Select seed list:' and include a list of contacts that will get the email when the delivery is first started.

  15. Provide a way to dynamically create delivery groups.

    I currently have a number of delivery groups ranging from monthly groupings to specific segments by year. These can often be tedious to manage and to make sure everything gets in there. It would be great if we could build rules for a delivery group as one would for a segment... i.e. if send date is 2011 and message name contains (05-09) those messages would auto populate in the delivery group 2011 - 05-09 and so on.

  16. Option to set frequency caps at Agency level

    For those of us who use the Agency feature to manage competing brands, it would be great to set a frequency cap for contacts at the Agency level to allow the contact to receive mail from only one brand at a time.

  17. When an item is highlighted within the WYSIWYG editor, highlight it within the code as well.

    Since the code window displays as a large chunk of unformatted code, it should be made to function more like Dreamweaver. When an item is highlighted in the WYSIWYG editor (image, text, table, etc.) the user should be able to open the code window and see that the corresponding code is also highlighted. This would make direct code editing much easier within the built in editor.

  19. Different criteria for Champion / Challenger Splits

    When we do A/B testing if we select Champion/Challenger as an option, we aren't allowed to designate the Champion by clickthroughs... it automatically selects the winner by opens. It would be nice if we could choose the criteria we wanted to report on.

    The Champion/Challenger by definition does not select a winner for you. It has no final winning group and the testing versions send to all recipients in your target groups. Many of our customers use it for a 50/50 test or to try sending on different days. The reporting will indicate which of your versions had a higher open rate, but it is not indicating a winner, nor does this mean that version was treated any differently. If you want to have open or click rate taken into consideration when testing content you will need to use the A/B Winner split option.

  20. Display SOAP XML envelope examples in the API documentation

    While the code examples are great, displaying example xml output would help integration with other languages.
