  1. Minify Recommendations Markup

    In order to use rec premium we're required to use the WYSIWYG. When using the Using the WYSIWYG we do not have control over the code.

    Large loops, or using multiple loops increases the amount of markup drastically. Our messages are being clipped because of this reason.

    If we're not able to access this markup, or use cart loops in html editing, please minify the markup on your back-end.

    • Fix the Stop Data Loader Job function

      Our hourly data loader process becomes stuck on occasion. It takes a day or more to get support to escalate to engineering to un-stick the process. This is frequent. We would like the existing Stop Running Import to un-stick the process. This would allow us to self-fix stuck jobs otherwise the backlog of import files is intolerable after lengthy outages..

      • Create custom fields for order data

        Currently, when we pass data through to Bronto from orders, we can only map to a preset list of fields. However, those fields aren't sufficient for the data we need to pass. We need to be able to create custom fields for orders just like we're able to do for contacts.

        In our specific use case, our website allows people to make reservations. Those reservations contain a lot of valuable marketing information like check-in date, number of guests, etc., but we are unable to utilize many of them because of this limitation.

        • Content Tag Use Count in List

          In the Content Tag list, show the number of messages that reference the Content Tag. This will for easier maintenance of the tags and to allow you confidentially delete tags that you know are no longer used.

            • Tracking where a specific segment stands regarding Frequency Caps prior the send

              There is, currently, no easy way to track where a specific segment stands regarding the frequency caps prior sending the email. A dashboard to track where you stand by segments, or an indication of how many of your contacts will actually receive the email you are about to send would be very handy.

              We can see the total email sent to customers, but without being able to set up a time frame, it does not help to see where you stand on frequency cap, at a specific date.

              Currently to try to bypass this issue some users have to manually…

              • API Kickoff of Transactional Email for NetSuite Sales Order

                Bronto is now our source for transactional 'order received' messages for orders placed on our NetSuite SCA site. This accounts for 90% of the orders that we receive. The other 10% of orders are entered directly into the NetSuite ERP. On order save, it would be nice if we could call a REST or SOAP API that would take a NetSuite sales order ID and message ID as a parameter and then send the transactional order received message that is sent when an order is submitted via the website.                 • Workflow Logical Conjunctions on Cart/Order Lines

                  Using a Workflow to automate messaging around Cart items is missing logical conjunctions on cart lines. The gap prevents us from passing a test where a product code starts with a particular sequence AND there are at least 4 quantity for that product code on the same line item.

                  We also face an issue where we are looking for a cart or order where a code starts with a particular sequence OR another sequence on the same line item.

                  This functionality exists in the Message Dynamic Code but is missing from Automation (workflow).

                  • Data Loader Date Format Builder Fix

                    The Data Loader allows for the building of custom date masks for the import of data. We have done this but the mask does not work for the time portion of the date. The Date Format Builder function does not allow us to properly test and build the correct date format for our data. It only provides one example and does not allow the building of a date format (contrary to its title). Also, the done button does nothing. It would be nice if this window worked as its title implies.

                    • Debug Message Dynamic Code using existing Order / Contact Data

                      Troubleshooting messages is difficult when the dynamic code fails to work correctly. We have had many major headaches where messages that are sent to the public have missing elements. The Order data is good but the resulting messages are unprofessional at best. There are no easy provisions to reproduce the issue via an on-screen debug or simple 'view existing order' or 'view existing contact' in a message functionality within the message editor. Scope of this should only be for development/support purposes for messages with Dynamic code.

                      • Lower minimum delay options within workflows

                        The lowest option is currently 15 minutes... It would be ideal to have a delay option as low as 5 minutes.

                          When creating order confirmation emails, all the pricing tags cut off at 2 decimal places. For example: $%%#order_total%% will appear as $64 instead of $64.00. If there's no value after the decimal, it just gets extracted as a 2 digit number. It would be great if your team could enforce a 4 digit rule on numbers.

                            We need a feature that retracts emails that have been sent. It is extremely frustrating to catch an error in an email that's being sent with NO way of correcting the error. Our emails are set up manually, and even with multiple people looking at the emails before they're sent, mistakes are inevitably missed.

                            • Order Sorting Capabilities

                              It seems silly, but it'd be nice to be able to sort orders by more than just the Customer Order ID...it'd be nice to be able to sort by Date, grand total, etc...it'd also be nice to be able to see how many orders actually exist within a searched date range rather than that seeing 1-100, 101-200...

                              • Compare two contact fields against each other in segments

                                I would like to build a segment based off of a comparison of two fields in the contact's profile. For example, if the date in Contact Field A is the same date or later than the date in Contact Field B, then add this user to the segment. Currently, I can only compare date fields to a calendar, rather than against other date fields.

                                • Add day broken out to a Comparison Report download

                                  It would be great to see the comparison report with each day broken out. Right now only shows a consolidated data. I can see a the report with each day broken out when enter to a message and export all data time. Can you imagine to enter to an each message (which are a lot) and then export the data?

                                    Ability to create reports and provide more in depth results when looking at various programs. There should be the ability to break down analytics by type of campaign, segmentation and various KPI's. Within Responsys, you have the ability to drag and drop the various options to build out your own customizable reports. Bronto should have something similar in nature.

                                    • Coupon Codes sent through the API sent as plain text, not Image

                                      Currently, it seems that when you send a coupon code back to the website through the API, they appear as an image, not a plain text code that can be copied and entered into the checkout. We would like to recommend that we change this functionality in the API.

                                      • Text-based logical statements in workflow nodes

                                        The workflow nodes are great most of the time, but having the option to write more complex/nested conditional statements would be useful. For example, many times I have to run through multiple similar nodes to check for multiple similar conditions.

                                          Create feature to check before sending, what the size the mail is. Especially for Gmail to prevent that the email will be clipped in inbox.
